Wyndcliffe Court Gardens are 5 minutes from both Chepstow Town and Tintern Abbey, nestled in the hills above the Wye Valley to the north of the village of St. Arvans. We are only 500 meters from part of the Wye Valley Walk, with a car park situated at the bottom of a lovely walk to the "Eagle's Nest" viewpoint.
Chepstow: Just 5 minutes down the road, the historic town of Chepstow provides many interesting sights and activities and is the ideal base for exploring the beautiful scenery of the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. Chepstow castle is a must see.
High Glanau is an Arts and Crafts garden near Monmouth sensitively restored by Helena Gerrish. Designed by Henry Avray Tipping, who also designed Wyndcliffe Court, it is open through the National Gardens Scheme on Sunday 12th May from 2-6pm. Helena has recently published a book about Tipping; "Edwardian Country Life - the story of H Avray Tipping" which is available to purchase there.
Our nearest village, St. Arvans has a lovely pub, The Piercefieldwww.theanchortintern.com/ which serves wonderful dinners and offers walkers a cosy respite.
The Anchor in Tintern is also a wonderful restaurant located opposite the Abbey, serving fresh seasonal dishes in a beautiful setting.
